Sys Admin for Windows servers, Active Directory. Windows SUS Server (2016) maintained to keep Windows desktops up to date. Servers are individually updated to maintain scheduled control over reboots. Using available tools, e.g, powershell, to aid in daily tasks, continue to work on programming skills, improve existing scripts to build tools. Investigating ADFS for implementation by Summer 2019; followed by the current SCCM. Maintenance of Exchange mailboxes, user accounts still a major portion of job. Investigating SCOM (OpsMgr); looking @ 2007 R2, but will be planning to implement 2012 for OpsMgr along with ConfigMgr 2012 to implement management services for Forefront to Windows computers. Actively working with test installation of CM2012R2 on a WS2012R2 server; plans have been pushed back again; printer configuration project was primary. Basic maintenance of monitoring server (OSSIM) used for watching after most network resources, servers and comm gear. Evaluating options to augment or replace this product as we move forward. Maintenance/implementation of Windows Server 2008,2008R2,2012,2012R2 as guests on VMware vSphere 6; dedicated hardware where needed. Domain controllers upgraded/moved to vSphere as Windows Server 2008R2 in October 2012. The last Windows Server 2003 R2 DC was upgraded to Windows Server 2008R2 at the end of the Fall 2012 semester as planned. Domain and forest functionality was raised to 2008R2 level in January 2013. Planning upgrade from WS2008R2 to WS2012R2. Print environment changed to using PaperCut as part of printer device refresh; started Fall 2015. Printer deployment adjustments in process August 2016. Active in maintenance of linux-based internal/external DNS and internal DHCP configurations Cylance PROTECT now in production.
