About Alan Wexler

Alan Wexler is CEO and President and founder of Databank Inc, which started in 1970. Databank is a commercial real estate research firm that reports on property values and sales, rental rates, occupancies, etc. Clients include or have included Atlanta Housing Authority, IRS, HUD, City of Atlanta, Fulton County, Dekalb County, Gwinnett County, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, U.S. Justice Department, CB Richard-Ellis, Cushman-Wakefield, Trammell Crow, Gables Residential, Post Properties, Pulte Homes and many others. His professional career started with reporting for the Atlanta Journal and the Atlanta Constitution, as well as the Gainesville Daily News, Columbus Ledger, Carrollton Times-Free Press and Carroll County Georgian. In 1967, he staff member of Economic Opportunity Atlanta and then was appointed Administrative Assistant to Johnny Johnson, who directed the nation’s first Model Cities program. Following those experiences, he took a position with Carroll County Department of Family and Children Services (handling adoptions and other child-related matters). While he finished his master’s degree in Political Science, he wrote a thesis on the consolidation of City/ County Governments, with emphasis on Nashville-Davidson County. He most recently has served as a chairman for Atlanta Hunger Walk and as a Board of Trustee member of the A. A. Synagogue. His military service included six years with the Georgia Air National Guard, Dobbins Force Base. He currently resides with his family in Sandy Springs, GA.
