Mr. Zegas has appeared on 60 Minutes, and has been quoted by newspapers and magazines across the country, including the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, The Star Ledger, and the NJ Law Journal. Mr. Zegas has also been featured on TV and radio news programs of major broadcast stations nationally. Mr. Zegas had the indictment against his client dismissed in the "Bridgegate" case, which involved a claim that severe, hours-long traffic was created on the George Washington Bridge for politically motivated reasons. Mr. Zegas was co-counsel to former Newark Mayor, Sharpe James, in his federal criminal trial. Mr. Zegas also represented NYC Mayor Ed Koch's chief of staff in two federal criminal cases. Over the years, the Zegas law firm has been involved in precedent-setting NJ Supreme Court cases, appellate cases, multiple federal District Court and appellate cases in the Second and Third Circuits. Mr. Zegas has represented many elected officials and prominent business people, including high level executives in New Jersey and New York corporations. Mr. Zegas has served as President of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey and as Chair of the Criminal Law Section of the New Jersey Bar Association.
