About Alana Trachenko

A writer at heart, Alana believes that storytelling and visuals are powerful tools for informing, motivating, and connecting with audiences and developing brands. Throughout her career, Alana has had the chance to build skills in journalism, photography, design, strategic communications, marketing, event planning, and project management. Her ideal job is one where no two days are the same. Alana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric, Writing, and Communications from the University of Winnipeg, as well as a diploma in Marketing, a diploma in Public Relations and Strategic Communications, and a certificate in Management from the U of W's PACE department. Her past work experience includes writing and editing at several Winnipeg newspapers and publications, including The Uniter, The Manitoban, Metro, Geez Magazine, and The Metro at Canstar News. She has worked as a marketing and public relations contractor at several Winnipeg firms, where she helps clients develop their audiences, build out brand strategies, create and deliver content, build and consult on websites and graphic design and write for online and offline messaging.
