Senior Geologist and Environmental Science Project Manager at Covington Civil and Environmental. Experience includes NEPA compliance, OPA compliance, RCRA and CERCLA investigations, NRDA regulations and environmental permitting. Expertise in all levels of environmental site assessments (ESAs), site characterizations, soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects, as well as management of three-year U.S. EPA Brownfields assessment grants for two coastal cities in Mississippi. Since 2011, I’ve been part of the Mississippi Deepwater Horizon Restoration Team, providing project development, implementation, management and monitoring support to the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality Natural Resource Damage Assessment projects. NEPA experience includes Categorical Exclusions (CEs), Environmental Assessments (EAs) and assisting in the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), and have served as the Environmental Science/NEPA expert on Independent Internal Peer Review Panels for USACE flood risk management draft feasibility/EIS reports. Following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, was responsible for NEPA compliance for 21 Hurricane Katrina disaster recovery projects (funded by the FEMA and HUD across the Mississippi Gulf Coast), and served as Task Lead for NEPA environmental compliance for the Galveston County (Texas) Housing Assistance Program Round 2 for Hurricane Ike. Registered Professional Geologist in Mississippi and Tennessee, Registered Professional Geoscientist in Louisiana, and certified to close underground storage tanks in the state of Mississippi. 2012 graduate of Leadership Gulf Coast and 2013 graduate of Mississippi Gulf Coast Business Council Masters Program.
