About Alanis Estanque

I was working as a Bylaw Officer/Parking Ambassador for the Town of Canmore the summer of 2022. Over the years, I have been in other roles to achieve the goal of a Peace Officer position. I was a Kananaskis Pass Communicator where my role was to educate visitors of the park about wildlife and various regulations and acts of the Provincial Park in Kananaskis Country. It was also my duty to keep people safe in the trails and so I was constantly keeping track providing updates to Kananaskis Emergency Services, Conservation Officers and Bear Technicians. Another role I took part in is working for Alberta Wildfire where I was able to communicate to peers and the public about wildfire occurrences in Northern Alberta Slave Lake District. I was able to assist in the fireline and achieved various skills and knowledge to prepare me such as ICS 100 and fireline training. Currently, I am working as a Corrections Peace Officer full time and as an Asset Protection Investigator casually while volunteering for the Calgary Drop-In Centre, Mustard Seed, CIWA (Calgary Immigration and Women’s Association) and RANA (Research in Amphibians) to gain experiences in the vulnerable sector of Calgary and as well as have the opportunity to help guide individuals in need.
