About Alanna Andersen

Alanna is a Freelance Creative with big-picture ideas. After receiving a certificate in Entertainment Management from Trebas Institute, she was a Tour Manager and Booking Agent for several international and local artists. When she decided to leave the high-stress music industry, she settled down in Toronto where she managed multiple bustling restaurants across the city and devoted time to exploring cultures around the world. When the pandemic halted life as we knew it, Alanna re-routed her career by using skills she had amassed throughout the previous decade. She completed a Proofreading and Editing course with Knowadays (prev. Proofreading Academy) and began her freelancing business, Alanna Andersen Freelancing Services, where she offers writing and editing services, digital marketing (social media, email, SMS, blogs, SEO), career portfolios, YouTube scripts, and Canva design. Alanna is also the Local Producer for Sofar Sounds Toronto, combining her love for music, art, people management, and uplifting her community. Sofar Sounds hosts pop-up concerts in over 400 cities worldwide, surprising music lovers with incredible showcases in unique locations.
