About Alastair Morrison

Alastair has been a Partner at Pinsent Masons since 1998. His legal professional background is in construction law, and since 2004 he has been involved in leading and developing the client and market strategy of Pinsent Masons. He is currently Head of Client Strategy, an elected Board role. Alastair was one of the architects of the mergers of Masons with Pinsent Curtis in 2004 and with McGrigors in 2012. For several years he has promoted innovative collaborations with the firm's clients and third parties. In September 2019, Alastair was awarded joint winner of the Most Innovative Lawyer in Europe at the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Europe Awards. This was in recognition of "his capacity to galvanise colleagues to rethink their approach, embrace change and move faster than the competition". Alastair has been recognised since 2016 in the Chambers & Partners UK Guide as an “Eminent practitioner". In addition, he has been ranked as a leading individual for construction law since 1997 by Legal 500. He has spoken at a number of international conferences on the challenges being faced by clients and how these challenges are shaping his firm and the legal profession more widely.
