I am an experienced educator and principal at Priority Charter Schools, with 7 years of teaching experience and 1 year as an instructional coach. Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to ensuring student success by designing engaging lesson plans, delivering effective instruction, and fostering a collaborative environment among educators and administrators. I have also had the opportunity to coach athletics at Audie Murphy Middle School, where I taught students essential life skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, personal responsibility, and perseverance. Before transitioning into education, I served in the U.S. Army and retired after a successful career of service. From 2010 to 2012, I worked as a Brigade Master Resilience Trainer in Europe, providing soldiers and their families with training on confidence building, goal setting, attention control, and problem-solving. This role allowed me to help individuals develop the skills needed to overcome challenges and thrive in high-pressure situations. Additionally, I served as a Small Group Instructor at the 7th Army NCO Academy from 2008 to 2010, where I mentored and trained soldiers in a demanding 30-day leadership course. My responsibilities included leading military training, ensuring compliance with regulations, and briefing soldiers on critical topics like safety, sexual harassment prevention, drug awareness, and environmental guidelines. Achieving high graduation rates in this role remains one of my proudest accomplishments. These diverse experiences in both education and the military have shaped my leadership style, which emphasizes adaptability, collaboration, and innovation. I am passionate about fostering academic and personal growth in students while supporting teachers and staff in their professional development. As a principal, I strive to create a positive, student-centered school environment where every individual can reach their full potential.
