About Albert Penilla

My mission is to produce high quality patents that always exceed my client's expectations. One of my passions is running. To date I have completed over 57 half-marathons, several tough mudder races and Spartan endurance races. Securing a patent has lots of similarities to running. Successful patent prosecution requires high levels of training, endurance and persistence. Notably, the most rewarding patent cases are those that test all aspects my skills, as are races run in extreme heat or freezing rain. “Patent strength” is not a term I use loosely. I architect patent strength with a deep understanding of how each patent will be challenged in litigation and/or before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). I also specialize in preparing and prosecuting software patents and overcoming 101 Alice rejections.
