About Alberto Conte

I started out working in Consulting Business in 1995 and have worked ever since in more than 25 countries across the world. Started out as Management Consultant on innovative techologies for a Consulting Firm with interests in London (UK) and Bratislava (SK). Soon enough I started managing projects in the technology and petrochemical sector in USA, Canada as well as extensively in Europe (Austria and UK predominantly). In 2001, after a long post in Malta, I returned to Italy definitely and started my own business "Studio Conte" working as a freelance consultant and was appointed Head Project Manager of the Italian National Geomatic Portal as well as advisor to the Italian Ministry of Environment. I held this position till December 2003 when I decided to move back to Consulting Business solely and spent the following 2 years concentrating on renewable energies, innovative technologies in the Petrochemical Sector and biomotive projects which led me to gain a thorough managerial experience. During the same period I became a chartered ISO consultant and Auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Among other activities, in early 2005 I was appointed as Senior Advisor for the Italian Remote Sensing Plan for Hydrogeological Risk of which in 2007 I successively became Head of Project, position that I held til 2021. During this period I specialized in ICT management becoming a chartered ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and specializing in high risk, complex environements and large architectures. In the meantime I kept working on several Projects that led me again around the world in China, Romania, Serbia, Australia, Croatia and Spain. Since 2005 I have been currently involved in EU funded projects. So far I drafted and managed projects for a total portfolio value of over 180 Million euro.
