About Alberto Lamagna
CAREER : Physicist-Technologist. He joined the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) as a fellowship in 1985. Worked in the following scientific-technological areas: photovoltaic materials, solar panels for CoNAE satellites, superconductivity, micro and nano devices (MEMS) manufacturing processes, development of accelerometers and MEMS gyroscopes for CoNAE, sensors, actuators, satellite subsystems, environmental gas monitors, electronic noses and uranium enrichment by laser. More than 100 articles published in national and international journals and conferences- Developed the first solar cells in Argentina and participated in the development of the first photovoltaic panels for the first Argentine satellite SAC-A that successfully flew- Led and founded CNEA's first Micro and Technology Laboratory at the Centro Atómico Constituyentes. ‐-‐- Led the group that developed the first e-nose in Argentina with MEMS gas sensors. Led the e-nose development group that transferred this application to Argentine industry sectors- He led the CNEA and INVAP R&D groups of the LASIE project, for Uranium Enrichment by Laser and micro-toberas, achieving success at laboratory scale (MLIS process at TRL3 and Infrared Lasers 16 microns at TRL4)- AWARDS - Received the Honorary Distinction of:"Cavaliere del ́Ordine della Stella of Italy" awarded by the President of the Italian Republic, in recognition of the scientific and technological cooperation promoted between Italy-Argentina (2019)- Received a distinction granted by the Senate of the Nation in its Declaration (S-773/02), for the technological development of a pre-competitive prototype of electronic nose applicable in the areas of food industry, biomedical engineering and environmental control (2002).
