About Alberto Longo

Alberto Longo is a Mechanical Engineer and member of BionIT Labs. He dedicate yourself at the mechanical design and development of the Adam’s Hand product handling system. In 2014 obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Salento with an experimental thesis on the study of the static resistance of riveted joints in composite materials. In 2015 he participates in the university project Salento Racing Team which aims to design and build a racing car participating in Formula SAE events. In this project he is the chief designer of the dynamic division, developing and manufacturing a double wishbone suspension, the entire steering system and the braking system of the car. Within the project he acquires competences in the field of FEM simulation, mathematical modelling and multi-body analysis of complex systems. Develops problem-solving, team-working and team-leading skills. In 2016 he took part in the international competition at Varano De Melegari, which gave him the opportunity to meet judges, students from various world universities and professionals in the automotive sector. Also in 2016 he was elected student representative to the "Student Council" of the same university, an organization that deals with the improvement of teaching through the funding and activation of extracurricular projects, acquiring communicative and organizational skills. In 2016 he took part in the international competition at Varano De Melegari, which gave him the opportunity to meet judges, students from other universities and professionals in the automotive sector. In 2018 obtained a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy and Propulsion at the same university chosen with the aim of expanding technical knowledge in the design and implementation of systems for terrestrial and non-land propulsion.
