About Alberto Panizzo

Alberto is convinced that Embedded Systems and IoT are the toughest fields possible for software development (because of the lack of all resources usually available on other platforms: CPU power, Memory, Energy.) and thus those must be the main fields where to put all his professional effort to achieve results that only a very small number of people in the world can obtain.Alberto achieved the master degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Padua in 2009 and has been working on Embedded Systems as OSS (Open Source Software) enthusiastic since 2006.He joined Android since 2008 developing the port of Android 1.6 (and than 2.1) to the Feescale i.MX31 CPU, customizing the entire Android stack from Linux kernel (developing the Linux mainline support for I.MX31 PDK board) till the Android middleware, in order to provide the University of Padua of a realAndroid development platform to be used in teachings.Since 2011 Alberto is co-founder and CTO of Amarula Solutions BV where he apply his experience to provide reliable Android ports on new hardware as full stack Software architect, developing by scratch and/or optimizing:* U-Boot support code* Peripheral Linux Kernel drivers* Android HAL abstraction layers* Android middleware customizations* Android native applicationsOn all major version of Android from 2.1 till 9.Among the areas of experience we have: power management, wireless/mobile networks, security, contactless, voip communications, display and camera, barcode scanning, audio, acoustic echo cancellation and noise reduction and more.Since 2015 Alberto took the challenge to open the Italian branch of Amarula Solutions together with the perfect team of experts to provide Embedded Systems services to the Italian market.Specialties: Software Engineer, Embedded Systems, Linux Kernel, U-Boot Bootloader, Gnu, Android, Java, C, C++ Agile, Scrum, Jira, Git, Gerrit, Repo, ARM, Administration, Business
