About Alberto Rovera
Throughout my academic and early professional career, I have specialized in Materials Science and Technology within the optical field while living in Italy and the US, becoming proficient in English, Italian, and French. I have acquired experience in various stages of optical fiber production, from material selection to design and characterization. My work has spanned thermal sensing, thin film technologies, and optical sensing. I have expertise in working with FBG sensors and their functionalization. I have collaborated with many companies on joint projects, gaining valuable experience in both academic and private sector environments. I have enjoyed working with international and multidisciplinary teams and look forward to furthering my expertise in technological applications, particularly in the aerospace field, which I have always been passionate about. I also have experience teaching material engineering to both academia and private companies. I am currently in the final year of my Ph.D. in Materials Engineering.
