Background
About Alberto Stabile
The context of my research is the electronics for High-Energy Physics (HEP) experiments. Now, I'm working for the IMPART and RDFASE2 project, FastTracker (FTK) and CERN-RD53 projects. Currently, I am researcher at University of Milano with teaching and research tasks. I am the team leader of microelectronic group for the designing of 28 nm Associative Memory (AM) chips (budget of about 4 millions $). In 2014 I won the competition for young researchers at INFN receiving a grant of for the IMPART project that aims the design and test of ASICs (associative memories) used for pattern recognition tasks for interdisciplinary applications (i.e, DNA sequencing, image elaboration). Meanwhile, I working for the FTK which aims to realize a parallel elaboration system ables to increase the Level 2 trigger performances at ATLAS experiment – CERN and for the RD53 project which is a CERN project with the aim to explore, design, and test rad-hard electronics devices for HEP. In 2011, I also worked to simulate open quantistic systems, and in 2010 with the position of research consultant at Sanitas, I worked for SuperB project to study the feasibility of a high-frequency communication system at the interface between front-end detector and back-end TDAQ systems. In March 2010 I defended the dissertation with the title “Design methodologies for radiation-hardened memories in CMOS technology”. Finally, during PhD (Università degli Studi di Milano - from 2006 - 2010) and for some months with RedCat Devices, I worked to the design of radiation hardened ICs for aerospace applications. In this context I won the award for the best oral presentation at MIEL2010 conference. In addition, to carefully study the interaction between radiation and ICs, I have implemented a software simulator able to create radiation sensitivity maps. I was supervisor of about 40 graduated student and I am Electronics and Informatic prof. assistant at Physic Dep. of UNIMI
