About Aleah Mendiola

I am currently serving as the Director of Academic Support at The College of Idaho. In this elevated role, I have significantly expanded the scope and strategic impact of our office. I lead the department’s vision and operations, overseeing daily communications, supervising professional and student staff—including the First Year Advisor—and driving initiatives that enhance the student advising experience. I collaborate closely with the IT Department to implement advising process improvements and serve as the primary liaison for external partnerships, including third-party study abroad organizations. My work continues to center on student success: I support students navigating academic challenges in compliance with SAP regulations, guide degree planning and course scheduling, and design targeted marketing materials to promote academic advising services. Additionally, I lead the planning and execution of summer programs for prospective students, ensuring a seamless and enriching pre-college experience. In recognition of my contributions, I was honored with the Employee of the Quarter award in Fall 2021 for streamlining the program declaration process and my dedication to first-year student advising.
