About Alec Casey

I am a creative individual with a passion for learning new skills, design theory and the details that go into a successful product. Self learner, with a quick wit who holds himself to a high standard, I often throw myself into things I find interest or drive in, often to good results. I always make sure that the work I put forth is given my all. Full of grit, determined, and resistant to failure, I view every falling point as just a stepping stone along the path to a fortuitous future. I am currently training towards an internship with a Fortune 500 through Year Up, and have already gotten a grasp on HTML, CSS, Javascript, networking, hardware support, and presenting myself professionally. I plan on designing software and pioneering new applications for the common user to immerse themselves in an experience, once I’ve gotten the know-how and network of support needed. I have many ideas that touch untapped areas in social media, game design, event coordination, team management, and cloud based software. Outside of my current training I play multiple instruments, toil away at writing my first novel, and am in talks with the booking managers at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz about booking my first production.
