About Alec Kloss

I’m a cyber defense engineer at heart with a serious curiosity streak—I’ve always loved digging into how things work and making them more secure. If it has compute power, chances are I’ve worked on locking it down: Windows, macOS, Linux/Unix, containers, OT devices—you name it. Over the years, I’ve built up a wide mix of security skills, including AI security, SIEM and EDR platforms, cloud security, threat detection, SOAR, logging pipelines, DevSecOps, and automation frameworks. I’m big on scripting and automation, whether it’s in Python, PowerShell, or Bash—if there’s a faster, smarter way to get it done, I’ll find it. These days, I’m the Sales Engineering Manager at Databahn.ai, where I help customers solve tough security data problems. I get to combine technical depth with real-world problem solving, helping teams make sense of their data, scale smarter, and stay secure. As a side gig I get to have fun moonlighting in the marketing department and evangelizing data pipelines, hopefully on the golf course when I can. Always learning, always building, and always looking for the next challenge.
