About Alec Lazo

Alec's career has spanned over thirty years in the Ballroom Dance Sport Industry. ​He has captured many titles in several Dance-Sport styles as a professional. Although recently retired from professional competition, Alec continues to support and work in the industry as a business owner, consultant, coach, judge, and mentor. Happy to be back where his career started on the beautiful island of Palm Beach, Alec is the Founder and managing director of the Paramount Ballroom Palm Beach. Alec's passion for mentoring and teaching youth and young adults led him to found the 'Palm Beach Academy of the Arts'; a non profit learning and development program which focuses on mentoring and teaching essential life skills through the arts. The 'Paramount Ballroom Collegiate and Youth Ballroom Dance Program' is a direct benefactor of the Academy and has produced several ballroom dance professionals to date​​.
