About Alec Lindsay

Folks, I participate in LinkedIn mainly as a professional service to my students, organizations and colleagues who can use the diminished "degree of separation" for their professional purposes. Frankly, I don't care all that much what my public profile looks like to anyone else.I say this because a fair number of people feel compelled (probably by the incessant prompts to do so by LinkedIn) to "endorse" my skills, abilities and experiences. Just so you know, I never ask my links to do these things, regardless of the messages LinkedIn sends you. I suspect LinkedIn sends people little requests to "Endorse Alec Lindsay for XX and YY skills," and then all my well-meaning friends and colleagues waste their time clicking LinkedIn buttons on my behalf.I sincerely mean it when I say you need not do any endorsing on my behalf. Endorse me if you want, but it is no skin off my back if you just let my little profile sit here unadorned. Most all of you have better things to do than click silly buttons on my profile.~Cheers
