Alec Ronin, CPA, co-founded Brontide LLC in 2015 with an idea of creating a different type of CPA firm where technology solutions eliminate unnecessary overhead costs to his clients, the firm which blends millennial generation’s desire to make a difference with old school commitment to client service. Alec brings to the table in-depth expertise gained throughout his career spanning 27 years specializing in government contracting and technology companies. Alec regularly consults clients in the areas of FAR compliance, DCAA audits, allocability and allowability issues, incurred cost submission preparation, indirect rates reconciliations and cost pools setup. These experiences have made Alec a valuable resource and trusted advisor in assisting clients with complex accounting and regulatory issues and have given him a unique insight into those industries. Alec has conducted evaluations of various entities' internal controls, including identifying control weaknesses and preparing recommendations for the improvement of operational effectiveness and efficiency of client accounting and management functions. While working with clients in the technology industry, Alec gained deep insights into accounting requirements for software revenue recognition, complex equity transactions, and other related aspects. He has also performed a substantial number of program-specific audits for government contractors. He is in constant communication with his clients not only during the ongoing engagements but throughout the entire year.
