About Alec Utterback

Before beginning a career in mental health, I worked for two summers as part-time help with the City of Sylvania's Sewer Department. This consisted of much physical labor. And, having worked forty hours a week those summers, it gave me a valuable glimpse into how to begin maintaining a positive work life balance and taught me much about work ethic. Following this, I have worked as a behavioral technician/residential monitor for a group home in Findlay, where my daily tasks consist of medication passes, engaging with residents about any number of concerns, group therapy, and adhering to resident's treatment plans. Outside of work, I study Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bowling Green State University. My work as a behavioral technician is not only incredibly rewarding, but it also provides an enormous amount of experiential learning for my future occupation.
