About Aleena Alex
I work with multi-scale modelling of composite systems such as cementitious materials. I’m interested in investigating the fundamental structure-property relationship of materials with complex microstructure and a wide range of constituent phases. The chemo-mechanical relationship at nano scale and how to model it is something I find challenging and fascinating. I am interested in anything and everything on the computational modelling of materials using Molecular Dynamics, Kinetic Monte Carlo and other particle based/continuum models. I have also looked into the nano/micro mechanical characterization of these materials using experimental techniques such as nanoindentation, nano-DMA, SEM-EDAX techniques.
