About Aleena Ortiz

In my writing and editing services, I create space for underrepresented groups to speak our own truths and fantastical tales. I believe the marriage of fact and fiction has the potential to create cross-cultural understanding where more direct forms have failed. With over, I have experience as a Freelance Content Writer, Copywriter, and Book Reviewer: • My writing is characterized by its welcoming and succinct style • My clear, sequential relay of technical information • My eye for visual flow and textual aesthetics I have professional experience in psychology and medical research. I offer and feedback to published and upcoming authors on their portrayals of LGBTQ+, neurodivergence, religion, race/ethnicity, nationalism, historicity, and scientific research. My self-led ethnographic research projects have led me to Spain (2018), China (2019), Greece and Italy (2021), Turkey and Ireland (2024). I collaborate with creators across the Internet to maintain up-to-date constructive criticism of mass media. If you need a content writer, editor, or sensitivity reader, I will revitalize your book and online presence to be relevant, fresh, unique, and socially-informed. Feel free to DM for inquires!
