About Aleija Rodriguez

I hold a B.A. in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience with High Honors and Highest Distinction from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. I currently serve as a Research Coordinator at the Mind Research Network (PI: Kent Kiehl), collecting interview and MRI data from currently- and formerly-incarcerated research participants. I am pursuing a career in psychology and criminal justice, with a particular focus empirically-based psycholegal policy. My research interests focus on unique neural and cognitive-behavioral correlates of adversity (particularly early-life adversity), and how these correlates associate with externalizing and antisocial behaviors. I am also passionate about integrating biopsychosocial research within the legal realm to inform legal policy, as well as educating legal stakeholders (judges, juries, prosecutors, etc.) on said research. In my spare time, I really enjoy rock climbing, liminal music, and sci-fi.
