Certified AML Specialist by ACAMS an active Member of Association of Certified Sanctions Specialist ACSS with OFAC certificate training, PhD Law school graduated, bilingual English- Spanish. His whole professional career has been oriented to work in the application and supervision of complex regulatory frameworks for Banking and Financial Industries, working for the 1st and 2nd lines of Business and having a major knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, AML, Correspondent Banking rules and regulations, OFAC sanctions programs identifying any compliance sanction risk associated with bank customers, disposition or escalation. With more than 15 years of experience managing High-Risk customer´s life cycle: CIP, KYC, CDD, EDD, adverse media filtering, accounts refresh-reviews, customers risk assessments, and performing AML transaction monitoring activities such as alerts disposition, alert backlog clearance, alert look back reviews, also case management, SAR´s writing and FINCEN filling. Alejandro has been designated as point of contact with auditors and regulators during bank reviews advising and implementing strategies to overcome and comply with Consent Orders, also executing independent compliance testing to ensure processes and activities comply with operational risks and compliance provisions.
