About Alejandro Botero

Management Engineer by profession, with both Colombian and Spanish nationalities and a strong background in international trade and politics. Throughout my career, I have built up a wide network of high-level government, business, and diplomatic contacts, particularly in Latin America, the Middle East, and North Africa. My experience includes serving as a Consul at the Colombian Embassy in Algeria and Tunisia, where I was also responsible for cultural and commercial affairs. I have also worked at the Colombian Embassy in UAE and at Procolombia, the commercial office of the Colombian government in the Middle East, while living in the United Arab Emirates. In addition to my diplomatic experience, I have worked in the private sector for multinational companies such as: Ternium, part of The Techint Group; and Protección, part of The Grupo Empresarial Antioqueño; specializing in commercial planning and marketing. One of my significant strengths is my double nationality, which has enabled me to understand and navigate two different cultures effectively. I also possess the ability to adapt to different cultures and overcome adversity, which has proven to be a valuable asset in the constantly evolving and challenging world of international trade. Overall, my diverse background provides me with a wealth of knowledge and experience to foster international relationships and promote the culture, and business growth.
