About Alejandro Cortes

Alejandro Cortés is a musician, manager and composer from Choapa, with studies in Musical Interpretation in Classical Guitar from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso and Utah State University in the United States. He also integrates postgraduate studies in Community-based Cultural Policies and Social Inclusion Policies with a territorial approach at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) and Cultural Management for Territorial Development at the Universidad Católica del Norte. As a musician he has developed a career in Chile as well as in different countries such as Germany, Brazil, France and the United States, and a notable presence in the field of cultural management and social leadership, currently being President of the Art Managers Cultural Foundation; director of the International Music Festival in Patagonia (FIMP); and co-founder and President of the Music Industry Association of the Coquimbo Region IMREC A.G, the first music industry association in the northern macrozone of Chile.
