About Alejandro Malave

I am a full-time student at the University of Central Missouri (UCM). I am pursuing an ACS (American Chemical Society) approved Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. I am currently working two part-time jobs that include positions as a Walk-in Studio Experience (W.I.S.E.) coach at the UCM Career and Life Design Center and a remote position as the social media marketer for the Savannah Bee Company, Saint Simons Island GA location. I also compete collegiality in cross country and track & field as a distance runner for UCM. I am the representative member for Cross Country on the UCM Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. I plan to graduate with a BS in Chemistry by May 2026 and apply for graduate school to pursue a MS in Food Science or a MS in Chemistry. Eventually, I would like to work towards a PhD program in food science to further my knowledge in aspects of food related to chemistry and biology. My career goal is to teach or do research in the field of food science and technology.
