About Alejandro Palacios
Hi, I'm Alejandro Palacios, but I also go by Alex. I studied Arts and Entertainment Technologies at The University of Texas at Austin, which included coursework in game design, themed entertainment, music and sound, graphic design, motion graphics and video, immersive media, interactive storytelling, and other creative technology fields. I have developed two games: Escape The Cutout and Drag. Escape The Cutout is an interactive motion tracking game that was showcased at IndieCade Festival 2019 and SXSW - Future Visions: A UNESCO Media Arts Exhibition *postponed due to COVID-19. Drag is the very first iOS game that I developed where I learned how to implement ads, in-app purchases, and how to manuever the App Store ecosystem and their abundance of rules and regulations. While I have experience in the asset generation of games such as 2D graphics and 3D modeling/texturing, my true passion is for solving problems through programming and designing unique, innovative and challenging gameplay.
