About Alejandro Ribes

I currently work at EDF Lab that is the research center of one of the largest electric utility companies in Europe. On one side, my activities aim to create tools for the analysis, visualization and interpretation of the results of complex numerical simulations. These simulations consist often on the resolution of partial differential equations by use of supercomputers, a process that generates massive data. On the other side, I also work with machine learning for industrial applications, especially deep neural networks for the fast estimation of the solutions of differential equations for engineering problems. These deep neural networks are trained by the use of GPU clusters. Before working at EDF I was a researcher in statistical image processing. During this time I worked in applications of technology to art and also on Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
