About Alejandro Romillo

With over 31 years of experience in the healthcare industry, I am passionate about improving the health status of underserved and vulnerable communities through innovative and collaborative solutions as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Health Choice Network, Inc.(HCN). He oversees the strategic direction of the Florida-based, non-profit organization and leads operational efficiencies for health centers, safety-net providers, and under-funded clinics in the Network. Founded in 1994, HCN is the first funded Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). HCN is recognized as one of the largest safety-net provider networks in the U.S, operating in 23 states and territories, supporting over 1,132 care delivery sites, and serving over 7.9 million patient visits. HCN’s key business services include clinical innovations, financial investments, technology and application solutions, value-based managed care initiatives, clinical research, and member-focused opportunities. Alex joined the Health Choice Network family in and became the Chief Information Officer in September 2010. He became the Chief Operating Officer in October 2012 and Chief Executive Officer in February 2016. Additionally, Alex was a founding executive team member for Prestige Health Choice, LLC.(PHC), a Florida-based Medicaid provider service network (PSN) majorly owned by health centers and HCN providing healthcare services to over 300K Medicaid Floridians, and both of HCN’s Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Health Choice Care, LLC (HCC) and Health Choice Community Partners, LLC (HCCP). He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for both HCC and HCCP. Driven by his passion for children’s restorative services, Alex has served on the Board of Directors of His House Children’s Home, a non-profit faith-based organization serving South Florida children, since 2018. He has been honored to serve as the Board Chairman since 2020, during which he helped navigate the organization through the pandemic as the only foster care program in the State to treat and stabilize children during the peak of COVID-19.
