Data Science | Bioinformatics EDUCATION: Master on Data Science & AI (Nuclio Digital School)[2025-current] MSc Bioinformatics and Biostatistics -(UOC / UB)[2019-2022] MSc Microbiology - Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM)[2017-2018] BSc Biology - Universidad de Salamanca (USAL)[2013-2017] WORK: Since 2022 I work in a research project (CBM - Madrid) where we investigate the proteogenomics of a neglected-desease causing parasite. Here, we experiment with several Leishmania species, with both experimental and bioinformatics approaches. We are currently generating new transcriptome and proteome annotations to have the most up-to-date information possible on these parasites, from classic Illumina RNA-Seq sequencing to more cutting-edge technologies, as PacBio, ONT, RiboSeq. In parallel, I also worked part time as an online data analyst for Telus AI. For 2 years I formed part of the research staff at the University of Konstanz, Germany, in a laboratory with protist microorganisms, where I designed and conducted experiments with bioreactors and algae cultures, extracted environmental samples and performed sequencing and analysis of the organisms and metabolic routes found. I also enjoyed supervising MSc and BSc students during that time, helping them successfully perform their own experimental projects. I'm a passionate of science, and love to work with data, that's why I started to take online courses and experiment with data on my own. Now, I enrolled the Master of Data Science & AI in order to be able to work proficiently with data and expand my capabilities. In the profesional level, I would describe myself as hard-working, communicative, and I'm a person who enjoys collaborating and learning from others, but also very autonomous and independent. From the perspective of a scientist, I think I have a very critic mindset: I always prefer thinking everything before acting, and discuss with the group the things that can be done.
