About Alejandro Suarez

I am a +10 year Oracle Developer specialized in End-to-End Apex and BI Projects. I’ve been involved in every aspect of a BI Project, starting from ETLs, Model Designs, building the End-User Reports and Dashboards. In 2006 I entered Oracle and became an Apex & DB Developer. I became a part of a consulting group where we build Web Apps for Sales Consultants using Oracle Apex (Oracle Application Express). We were in charge of Security Schemas, Custom User Interfaces, Enhancements Requests, Analysis, Web and DB Development, Technical and Functional Design of a set of Applications used by the Sales Team to maintain and report lots of custom data. Later I got to Lead small groups and participate on Regular Calls with end-users and clients to get requests and examine future enhancements, like adding a BI module to some applications. In 2009 I moved to another group were we maintain some Custom Internal BI Apps for Top Managers using OBIEE, we were in charge of ETLs, Reporting, Security Schemas, Snapshot Reporting, User Interface, Technical and Functional Design. In 2012 I became part of a Global group in Oracle were we developed a Global BI Solution that feeds from Oracle Fusion System for different Regions to all use the same application and see the same information. My tasks involved coordinating BI developments in my group, support to Regional developers and Lead Apex App development for Apps that feed the BI ETL. We are also in charge of a special group of dashboards, the ones used by Top Level Executive Managers, which have special needs like a Notes Systems with security to decide who can see the note. In 2014 I joined IT Convergence where I am worked as a BI Consultant for ITC’s Clients, involved in support, development operations and maintaining the BI system of our customers. In 2017 I moved to Ireland to join Fidelity International, where I currently am the Tech Lead of a Self-Service portal built in Oracle Apex meant to help the Technology team in the company. We developed many automations and data and functionality integrations making our portal the main source for reporting and team collaboration, as many teams can build their own apis and we can integrate them all to build different apps to help our customers. In 2021 I joined Oracle Ireland where I worked in the Pandemic Response team building a Medical Solution (OHIMCS) to support vaccination efforts.
