About Aleksandra Tosic

As a teacher, I have spent much time learning how to advance many soft and interpersonal skills, including communication, writing and editing, teamwork, public speaking, analysis, and critical thinking. By combining my passion for reading and the arts with my expertise in science and also having a minor in biology, I have blended both my creative side and my logical, scientific side to form a truly unique way of thinking and of viewing the world. Because of this particular mixture of learning and skills, I have studied a variety of topics, including linguistics, English literature, writing and effective communication, French, biology, physiology, ecology, digital humanities, and theatre. This has given me a wide range of knowledge in many shapes and forms. As an educator, this will hopefully help me in my quest to give children the knowledge they need to succeed, as no two people are the same and everyone learns differently and favours different areas of learning. I am equally skilled at working independently or within a team. As an organizer with good listening skills, I can be a leader and delegate tasks fairly, or I can carry out work assigned to me with exceptional ability and preciseness. I believe in attention to detail and always strive to maintain excellence. I have education in technology, am physically capable, and am ambitious and eager to succeed. Most importantly, I value punctuality, professionalism, and dependability at all times. I have been teaching students from kindergarten to Grade 8 in all subjects provided at school for several years, working in a variety of different types of classrooms and with children from a range of backgrounds and circumstances. This has aided in my becoming a responsible, intuitive leader, and has developed my desire to help children. I hope to someday find myself in a position where I can give people happiness and knowledge and set them on the path to success.
