About Alessandra Meschini

Master’s in Architecture, PhD in Building Heritage Representation and Survey (1998) at La Sapienza University of Rome, fellowship at the CNR (1998 – 2001). From 1994 to 2002 in the Department of Representation and Surveying at La Sapienza University in Rome, she carried out research in disciplinary, theoretical, and practical aspects of survey and analysis in architecture. In 2005 she began working as a researcher-consultant in the Ascoli Piceno Architecture Faculty (after 2008 the School of Architecture and Design) at the University of Camerino, and in 2008 she became a University Researcher at the same School. Since 2001, she began teaching at the same University (Architectural and Urban Surveying, Architectural Drawing, Representation techniques, Drawing and Surveying, Urban and Environmental Surveying). Since 2003 she has carried out research through the university, the National Interest Research Projects (PRIN) co-financed by MIUR, and third parties. She has participated and spoken at numerous national and international congresses and workshops, and she has published many papers and essays also in international journals. Her specific skills in research topics are- New methods of representation, consistent with the development of information technologies - Digital technologies and communication of Cultural Heritage, Digital Media and applications for the promotion and enjoyment of Cultural Heritage, Augmented Reality- Census, Documentation, Cataloguing, Digital architectural archives- Methodologies and integrated techniques for surveying that allow to achieve satisfactory results in the field of documentation of architectural sites and Heritage objects- Virtual museums, immersive environments, web-based interactive tools- Databases and digital systems for the documentation of Architecture- Information and Communication Technology, Edutainment- Theoretical and disciplinary aspects of Representation, Surveying and Analysis of the Architecture.
