About Alessandro Percelsi
Since I was young I have been curious about new things, especially on science side. After my graduation in Physics, I joined the R&D department of TIM (formerly Telecom Italia) in Turin where, starting as a specialist in optical networks, I have grown up in a very stimulating place where innovation is the core business. In more than 20 years, I have moved to roles where soft-skills were more and more important. I have been leader of international teams for internal project (R&D European founded project, TIM Sparkle and TIM Brazil), as well for International Standardization Bodies like ITU-T, where I have been a vice-chairman and I'm currently responsible for official documentations. My networking within TIM and TIM's suppliers is very solid, especially in the network and cloud infrastructure sectors. I strongly believe in team working, international cooperation, and reliability. Besides my job, I'm a father, a volley coach, and a musician (since I was five years old, playing classical and rock music).
