About Alex Beacon

I build production AI systems and help organizations use them well.My background spans software engineering, machine learning, and cloud-native architecture. I’ve delivered end-to-end ML systems in production, automated high-volume workflows, and now lead GenAI initiatives focused on responsible adoption and scalable delivery. At HarbourVest, I:• Delivered 3 production ML systems handling 100k+ communications annually• Improved model accuracy from 60% → 89% and 76% → 94%• Reduced manual workload equivalent to ~2 FTE• Serve on the Architecture Review Board shaping enterprise AI standards• Prototype and productionize GenAI systems using Azure OpenAI and RAG patternsI enjoy the intersection of hands-on engineering and strategic enablement — building real systems while defining patterns that others can safely scale.Technologies I work with regularly:Python, FastAPI, Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, AKS, CI/CD, LangChain, LangGraph, vector search, containerized architectures.I’m particularly interested in mission-driven and tech-forward organizations where AI can unlock meaningful impact.
