About Alex Benthien

I am an experienced IT-leader, well versed in traditional leadership theories, with system administrator and teaching experience; I specialize in Incident Management, the coaching and development of staff, organizational optimizations and operational leadership. I have extensive experience with debugging, configuring and troubleshooting applications, services and supporting servers, scripting, RPA, ITIL, IT-Security, et cetera. Which enables me to spar with my staff, colleagues and suppliers at an advanced technical level and thereby address any professional issues they may encounter and anticipate problems before they occur. I have had the pleasure of teaching the next generation of IT-Supporters and Data Technicians topics such as PowerShell, Open Source, Security and many other rudimentary IT subjects. In addition, in a previous position, I planned and conducted in-service training for senior personnel and introductory IT sessions for new employees. Furthermore, I have leadership and teaching experience from 15 years as a sergeant in the HJVs K9 division. This gives me a broad and nuanced perspective, when coaching and developing the skills of my staff. All of the above enables me, as a technical leader, to back the phrase "Work smarter, not harder" with concrete methods, tools and procedures to do so.
