About Alex Berg

Currently working as a researcher and pursuing a Ph.D. in Welfare Law at the University of Eastern Finland. Before moving to Finland, I lived in Denmark for almost seven years. I studied there for a bachelor’s degree in Language and International Studies at Aalborg University. I earned afterward a master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, and International Relations from Aalborg University. Afterwards, I worked as a Cultural Mediator and Coping Supervisor at Aarhus Municipality. Before I moved to Denmark, I lived in Syria. I studied English Literature and Language at Damascus University. I worked there in customer services, translation, and transcription. In general, throughout my life in these three countries, I have been interested in areas such as event planning, media management, project management, research, photography and videography, video editing, and storytelling. I have also volunteered for non-governmental organizations that address human rights issues, asylum, statelessness, cultural and ethnic diversity, integration, and international laws.
