About Alex Bleiberg

I am a qualitative researcher currently at Darden School of Business with over three years experience wrangling qualitative data and mining it for intuitions, ideas, and insights. Right now I am leading an interview project with twenty five participants to study how lived experiences impact one's sense of purpose. I am passionate about building small one-on-one connections to craft big stories with a large span and depth of resonance. I love digging up new ideas through qualitative research, but I also love the challenge of making those ideas clear and engaging for folks outside the universe of academia. I have written memos distilling lines of research in fields as varied as corporate psychology and business ethics. My review of the latest science on genetics and personality was included in a graduate level syllabus. In my past life I've flexed my communication muscles by teaching classes of undergraduates (I taught five classes over three years). I specialized in making the abstruse accessible, whether that meant breaking down the influence of economics on politics, or walking through the subtle strategies advertisers employ to influence our world views.
