Background
About Alex Candelario
As a former professional cyclist with 14 years of riding experience, I have a passion for sharing the beauty and culture of Hawaii through bike tours. I founded Big Island Bike Tours in 2014 to offer customized and personalized cycling adventures for all levels of riders, from beginners to experts. With a background in biology and sociology, I have a keen interest in the natural and social aspects of the island, and I incorporate them into my tours. I also have strong skills in event management, marketing, and strategic planning, which I developed through my previous roles as COO and CEO of Argonaut Cycles, a boutique bike manufacturer. I strive to provide exceptional service, quality, and value to my customers, and to create memorable and meaningful experiences for them.
