About Alex Cook

I specialise in selling transformational digital solutions, with a strong focus on the UK public sector. With over a decade of experience, I’ve supported major government departments and public bodies through complex, high-impact technology initiatives—often working at the intersection of policy and delivery, including engagement at ministerial level. My work has ranged from helping the CAA rapidly respond to the COVID-19 lockdown by shaping and delivering a new ATOL Claims service, to representing the British Council in its bid to lead the post-Brexit Turing Scheme on behalf of DfE. I’ve worked with the FCDO to deploy a global appointment booking platform across every British consulate, embassy, and high commission, I constructed and won the project to deliver Ofcom’s outsourced national 5G compensation scheme, and I've spent the last few years collaborating with IfATE to structure their technology landscape ready for their transition to Skills England. Trusted for my technology-agnostic, outcome-driven approach, I’ve helped programme teams across government rethink their procurement strategies—often leading them to rewrite tender documents after uncovering fundamental misalignments with their intended goals. I also advise on the most appropriate and efficient routes to market. I take pride in maintaining continuity throughout the entire sales and delivery lifecycle. I’m typically the first person a customer speaks to and often the one writing the bid, leading commercials, negotiating contracts, and then going on to see delivery through as an account director. I ensure that the promises made during the sales process are delivered on - then stay involved to help solve the next challenge.
