About Alex D.

I am a student at George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs majoring in International Affairs and minoring in Arabic Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. My career interests include going into the government or working at a local think tank or non-profit; a position where I can combine my interests in security and the Middle East as a part of a team. Some of my favorite classes have included Sociocultural Anthropology, Intelligence Analysis, and US Foreign Policy in the Middle East. Leadership and service are at the core of my character. Through ongoing involvement in Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership, I am able to empower and enable the next generation of leaders. Additionally, I am Vice President of Risk Management for Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women at GWU and a member of Rotary International. I'm currently training for a half marathon so I'm always looking for new running routes and new restaurants to fuel up at, if you have any favorites, don't hesitate to reach out!
