About Alex Dault
Alex is a technical narrative designer at The Coalition, a flagship first-party studio within Xbox Game Studios and the home to one of gaming’s most critically and commercially acclaimed series, Gears of War. He was most recently the lead writer on Fresh Tracks (Playstation 5, Steam) now the number-one ranked music game on Metacritic for 2025. Alex was a narrative designer and game writer for Archiact Interactive, where he worked on Journey to Foundation (Playstation 5, Meta Quest 2) Alex is the founder of the Performance and XR Conference an international arts conference which brings together artists from all over the world to explore art creation in XR space. The conference is now planning for its fifth year. Before his career in games, Alex was a playwright and director with over a hundred production credits. He has a diploma in Advanced Game Design from the Centre for Entertainment Arts at Langara College, an advanced diploma in Theatre Arts from George Brown College and a Bachelor of Arts Honours from Queen's University. In his spare time, Alex is an avid wall climber and boulderer and enjoys playing the tabletop board game Twilight Imperium. He is a lifelong TTRPG player and game-master.
