Background

About Alex Dunning

I am a motivated and dedicated worker with nearly two decades of experience in security and customer service who is looking for satisfying, fulfilling, and exciting changes to my career. On top of my work history, my college studies have aided in developing my emotional intelligence and ability to work with others to achieve goals. I am a hard worker who excels working alone or with a team, and desires new experiences and satisfaction from my employment. In my time working for Hilton I started as a Security Officer, quickly moving to Supervisor, to Acting Director when the Director position was vacant. I organized and ran the Safety Committee Meetings and brought The Waldorf Astoria Chicago employee injury numbers out of the red into the green in a short six month span, helping operations save money and manpower in regards to workman’s compensation. Working at a high end hotel like the Waldorf Astoria brought me into the sphere of many politicians, royalty, and celebrities, helping me adapt to my surroundings and situations as they can change quickly with this kind of clientele. I currently work full time with Chicago Public Schools at the Whitney Young Magnet High School and part-time at the beautiful Chicago Theatre.
