About Alex Edwards

My name is Alex Michaela Edwards, and I graduated from Austin Peay State University in December of 2022 with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics with a Concentration in Education, Cum Laude, and in December of 2024 with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Quantitative Methods - Math Instruction. I am currently teaching Upper School Mathematics at Clarksville Christian School. Most recently, I participated in the Disney College Program. I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Austin Peay State University, developing mathematics activities for mini golf at City Forum, tutoring undergraduate students, and coordinating the middle and high school mathematics competitions. In 2023, I served as the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations after being the Athletics Administration Graduate Assistant at APSU. I have 10 seasons of football equipment management experience (with 3 in Division 1 College Football), 4 seasons of women’s basketball management, and I played 14 seasons of softball. I have held many leadership positions in sports and in academics, including but not limited to Head Student Equipment Manager for Govs Football, Campus Outreach Coordinator for Austin Peay State University’s Delight Ministries, and Vice President of the Galois Math Club. I am hardworking, dedicated, and energetic, striving to be the most positive and encouraging individual in every room I walk into. I work to consistently choose happiness and see the good in every situation while looking to always improve and grow in the areas where those things are needed.#womeninstem #womeninsports
