About Alex Engels

With over 20 years of experience in the manufacturing and engineering sector. Some of this in a medial device and regulated manufacturing. I am a seasoned operations manager managing at Hyperion Materials & Technologies Ireland. I am responsible for overseeing the production, quality, budgeting, financial oversight and safety of our innovative and high-performance super abrasive materials that serve various industries, such as oil and gas, aerospace, automotive, and medical. I leverage my expertise in process engineering, Six Sigma, and materials science to optimize and improve our processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency and customer satisfaction. I also have a strong background in project management, having led and executed multiple critical projects for GE Sensing, a global leader in sensing and measurement solutions. I have co-authored several publications and patents on coated abrasives, demonstrating my passion and knowledge in the field of super-hard materials.
