About Alex Grant

I am an energetic and strategic executive with 15+ years experience in the Commonwealth government, non-government and the private sector. I have a proven history of achieving results that contribute to the well-being of organisations, communities and society. I specialise in: gender, employment and training policy; government relations and stakeholder engagement; international and community development; economic analysis and advice; and representational work and negotiations. My strengths including wrangling toddlers, managing diverse stakeholders, understanding complex problems and communicating authentically, clearly and with influence. As a neurodiverse leader, I am passionate about identifying diverse people’s super powers and helping them shine. My weakness is chocolate and cooking. I have represented Australia at multiple G20 and APEC meetings and summits and briefed Secretaries, international organisations, Ministerial advisors, and Members of State and Federal Parliament in writing and in person. I have engaged with foreign diplomats, presented interventions at multilateral fora and lived and worked in remote Indigenous communities. I live in Canberra with my husband, two young boys, two cats, a dog and six chickens.
